Bicycle Safety Town!

Summer is winding down.  School is only a few shorts weeks away.  We are trying so hard to cram some summer fun into these last few weeks.  Since today wasn't outrageously hot outside, we packed up a picnic lunch and headed to our favorite place to ride bikes, with our friends, of course!

This little dude just learned how to ride without training wheels on Saturday...he was in hog heaven!

Max was checking on Pen...just to make sure she was okay!  That boy of mine, has the biggest heart!

After a hard day of riding, a cold ice-cream treat sure sounds good!  We stopped by our favorite local ice-cream establishment....(you know the one with the red bench out front!) but no pictures where taken there.  We were too busy enjoying every single bite!

Hope your Monday was as fun as ours!

Fun Friday (and a few feathers!)

Today is a very fun Friday.

Today we have the book fair at school, which is super exciting for this cheap, I mean thrifty mama....cause it's buy one get one free day! WooHoo!

Today is also the school picnic. And it is a fabulously sunny and warm spring day. It's couldn't be more perfect! (the grass might be a little wet, but who cares when the sun is shining so bright!)

And, this mama is also sporting the latest and greatest (at least that's what she said when she sold them to me!)

Feathers!

Feathers in my hair!

What?! I know!! It's totally crazy, wild and so hip! Which I am none of.....but hey....why not have a little fun in my life!

Can you see them? (Right above Max's head!) OMG...can't believe I did it!

Hope you all have a fabulous, fun Friday too! And go get you some feathers!

Our super fun, very busy weekend!

Here are just a few highlights of our awesome weekend with family!

Yep, that is my people standing on a MAJOR expressway....during rush hour! We were completely stopped for 45 minutes while emergency crews were cleaning up accident. People were out of their cars...just hangin out...so we decided to join them!

We were so excited to see our cousins! Can you just feel the love!

Mini-golf (thought these would be a cute pictures when I finally get around to scrapbooking again...ten years from now!)

Showing off Maggie's awesome face-painting skills! She did a great job....and Andy did a great job painting my arm...ugh!

Sweet girl!

Sparklers were a hit too!

We just had to stop here on the way home!

What a fun time we had!

I needed a little motivation!

Remember the fun house mirror as a kid?

You know the one that you walk into and it distorts your entire body and makes you really really thin, or super duper wide....

Well, while we were at the Arizona Science Center on vacation, they had one of these nifty little gadgets that would take your picture and then you could press a button and the image would be distorted.

One of these poses got me thinkin'!

This is what I look like when I yell at my kids. It's not pretty! At all!

(Warning...if you have small children peeking over your shoulder while reading this blog...you might just want to stop right here!)

See I told you...Isn't this scary...

So my plan?! To try really hard to stop the yelling...otherwise the cycle will continue and Maggie will look like this when she yells at her kids!

Friday night Family Fun!

It all started with this...Maggie taking our picture!

Then Daddy had to get all goofy!

Then the rest of us joined in!

again and again...

while we laughed and laughed..

and laughed some more...

Friday night family-fun time!

Sometimes it's the simple things that create life-long memories!

Great minds think alike!

Every morning I write a little something on my prissy plate. It's just a fun little part of our morning routine. Sometimes it's different activities going on that day and other days it's something silly. Yesterday morning was so cold and the only thing I could think of was this!

As I was going through backpacks after school, I found this in Max's backpack.

Obviously, Max's teacher and I were on the same wavelength!

Like my plate? You can order one of your own here! Tell Kelly I sent you!!
