Halloween 2011

Papa Murphy's Pizza - A Halloween tradition!  They made a darling pumpkin pizza that is fast, cheap and oh so yummy!

 Maggie the soccer player!

Max the Hobo - we thought his two missing front teeth made this costume complete.

 My most favorite trick-or-treaters!

It's always more fun with friends!

I just love the excitement in this one!

 More friends!

The loot - she actually went out for more!

 It was a great evening!

More random stuff....

  • Seems like this is the only way I blog lately.....but these are all the crazy things that are going on my head...sorry if that's too much information.
  • I got a flu shot today?  Have you?  Or don't you "do" flu shots?
  • It is only 11 days till Halloween and I haven't even started to think about what my kids are wearing.  Okay, maybe I should let them pick their own costumes, but that's not any fun for me.
  • I was just a tad bit bummed today when I found out that someone else in our neighbor started the "boo" tradition.  It's my own fault, I should of had my stuff ready before now!  And just for the record, thanks to whoever-you-are, I love this tradition.  It's so fun for the kids!  Do you do the "boo" tradition in your neighborhood?
  • Andy and I saw "Wicked" last night.  It was AWESOME!  I love that he went with me even though it's not really his cup of tea.  But I think next time, I will drag a girlfriend along with me instead.  The show is absolutely amazing.  If I had just an ounce of their talent, I would be thrilled!  Oh, and I swear that Reese Witherspoon played Glinda last night.  She was that good!
  •  Anyone watching the "SING-OFF" on NBC?  I love that show.  I am so amazed by the sounds these people can make with their mouths.  It's crazy good!
  •  Maggie's first pair of TOMS came today....her comment, "I'm not ever going to take these off, I love them, can you get me another pair".     I know exactly how she feels, I love my TOMS too!
  • This new Facebook, I don't like at all.  I seem to be missing stuff and I can't figure out how to have the most current stuff come up first.  It seems like it's all mixed in together....current stuff is mixed in with yesterday's stuff.  Does anyone else feel this way?  If you know how I can fix that, I would be grateful.
  • My kiddos are off the next two days and so is my main man.  We are going to have some great family time.  I'm so excited.

A perfect evening includes....

  • Great friends
 Susan & Bruce
 Paul & Donna

 Jason & Nicole

Andy & I (don't you love my wild & crazy hair!)
  •  A leisurely boat ride with the above great friends
    • Perfect October weather, with just long sleeves on.  (Although, I was totally prepared with an extra coat, hat and blanket....because you just never know!)
    •  A gorgeous sunset
    • A few cold, adult drinks (we are very responsible people you know, so it was just a few!)
    • Looking at all the pretty lights on the Illinois River (Pretty sure that's the only time I've ever used "pretty" and "Illinois River" in the same sentence.....maybe because it was dark and I really couldn't see the river!)
      • Fun music...and maybe a little singing too.  No one could hear us, so it's all good!
      • A little fishing (without fishing poles)  Just ask Andy how to catch those flying Asian Carp
      • Laughter, so much that you thought you might pee your pants.  Thank goodness for the next item!
        • An on-board potty for those of us who can't wait to get back to the dock!  A lifesaver for sure!
          • Home and in bed by 10:30!
It was a PERFECT evening.  Thanks so much Jason & Nicole.  We had a fabulous time!
You can read more about the fishing without poles over on Nicole's blog!

          The "fun" bus!

Papa took the kids to school this morning....in the Model T!

Maggie's comment, "It's going to be a GREAT day!"

          Happy Friday!

          Random Stuff!

          • This poor little blog of mine.  It's so neglected.  Will I ever blog on a regular basis again, I sure hope so!
          •  I ♥ the NBC show "Parenthood" - Have you seen it yet?
          • Did you know that someone can steal the registration sticker off of your license plate?  Did you also know that your license plate number is on that sticker that we purchase every year? (at least in the state of IL) I NEVER knew that.  Oh, and if the above ever happens to you, it costs 20 bucks to get a replacement sticker...ugh!  On a positive note, I knew I purchased that sticker.  I'm not totally losing it.
          • Just a little something that makes me smile.  Every morning on my way to work (at least on the days that I work) I get to see the exact same thing.  A group of guys (I should probably label them as retired men) meeting for coffee outside a local coffee shop.  It's a big group too, probably 12-15 men.  You should see all the cars that line the street on both sides in the mornings.  It's crazy.  But I LOVE it.  It always makes me smile.  I would love to know what they are sitting there chatting about.  It's just too cute!
          •  For the next two weeks, it seems like my kiddos are out of school more than they go.  Next week they are off Monday & Tuesday and the following week they are off Thursday & Friday.  I can't wait!
          •  Speaking of kids, Oh my goodness, I can't even believe that I'm a mom to a 8 and 7 year old.  It just doesn't seem possible.
          • Oh, and my girl....she has some seriously stinky feet, any recommendations on this topic, and yes! she does bathe!
          •  Only 79 days till Christmas!  Have you started shopping yet?  Maybe just started your lists?
          • See, I told you it was random stuff.

          Max!

My baby boy is 7. We were able to celebrate his birthday on the actual day with our family.  The boy LOVES Legos, so he got a lot of them.

This one is my favorite.  How cute is this.  Thanks Jamison family.  He loves it!

Max did great at reading his cards....just needed a little help every once in a while.  It's great to have a big sister who is nice enough to help out!

My favorite kiddos in the whole wide world!

"Don't sing till I'm done with my strawberry!"  "Oh, okay...go ahead!"

          Happy Birthday little man!
You are a sweet boy with a great big heart!
          We LOVE you very much!
