More random stuff....

  • Seems like this is the only way I blog lately.....but these are all the crazy things that are going on my head...sorry if that's too much information.
  • I got a flu shot today?  Have you?  Or don't you "do" flu shots?
  • It is only 11 days till Halloween and I haven't even started to think about what my kids are wearing.  Okay, maybe I should let them pick their own costumes, but that's not any fun for me.
  • I was just a tad bit bummed today when I found out that someone else in our neighbor started the "boo" tradition.  It's my own fault, I should of had my stuff ready before now!  And just for the record, thanks to whoever-you-are, I love this tradition.  It's so fun for the kids!  Do you do the "boo" tradition in your neighborhood?
  • Andy and I saw "Wicked" last night.  It was AWESOME!  I love that he went with me even though it's not really his cup of tea.  But I think next time, I will drag a girlfriend along with me instead.  The show is absolutely amazing.  If I had just an ounce of their talent, I would be thrilled!  Oh, and I swear that Reese Witherspoon played Glinda last night.  She was that good!
  •  Anyone watching the "SING-OFF" on NBC?  I love that show.  I am so amazed by the sounds these people can make with their mouths.  It's crazy good!
  •  Maggie's first pair of TOMS came today....her comment, "I'm not ever going to take these off, I love them, can you get me another pair".     I know exactly how she feels, I love my TOMS too!
  • This new Facebook, I don't like at all.  I seem to be missing stuff and I can't figure out how to have the most current stuff come up first.  It seems like it's all mixed in together....current stuff is mixed in with yesterday's stuff.  Does anyone else feel this way?  If you know how I can fix that, I would be grateful.
  • My kiddos are off the next two days and so is my main man.  We are going to have some great family time.  I'm so excited.

Random Stuff!

  • This poor little blog of mine.  It's so neglected.  Will I ever blog on a regular basis again, I sure hope so!
  •  I ♥ the NBC show "Parenthood" - Have you seen it yet?
  • Did you know that someone can steal the registration sticker off of your license plate?  Did you also know that your license plate number is on that sticker that we purchase every year? (at least in the state of IL) I NEVER knew that.  Oh, and if the above ever happens to you, it costs 20 bucks to get a replacement sticker...ugh!  On a positive note, I knew I purchased that sticker.  I'm not totally losing it.
  • Just a little something that makes me smile.  Every morning on my way to work (at least on the days that I work) I get to see the exact same thing.  A group of guys (I should probably label them as retired men) meeting for coffee outside a local coffee shop.  It's a big group too, probably 12-15 men.  You should see all the cars that line the street on both sides in the mornings.  It's crazy.  But I LOVE it.  It always makes me smile.  I would love to know what they are sitting there chatting about.  It's just too cute!
  •  For the next two weeks, it seems like my kiddos are out of school more than they go.  Next week they are off Monday & Tuesday and the following week they are off Thursday & Friday.  I can't wait!
  •  Speaking of kids, Oh my goodness, I can't even believe that I'm a mom to a 8 and 7 year old.  It just doesn't seem possible.
  • Oh, and my girl....she has some seriously stinky feet, any recommendations on this topic, and yes! she does bathe!
  •  Only 79 days till Christmas!  Have you started shopping yet?  Maybe just started your lists?
  • See, I told you it was random stuff.

Just a few random things....

  • Thanks for voting on my little blog music poll. With the results I got, I will leave the music as is. You'll have to start it on your own. Sorry to those of you who like it to come on automatically, but I totally understand for those who read at work. Honestly, I like it to automatically come on too, but it's out pure laziness. So that's not a good reason! I'll still add in new music, so make sure to scroll down and listen to it all!
  • We had a very nice Valentine's Day here at the Sullivan house. Nothing fancy, just a nice dinner of steak, baked potatoes & asparagus. I got the kiddos just a little something, and Andy and I had decided not to do gifts for each other. We're cheap like that. We did cards, but after opening our cards we also decided that hand written cards are going to be the way we go in the future. Cards are so stinkin' expensive. I would rather have a hand-written love note any day! So that's what we are going to do from here on out. I will have more on this "expensive card-store cards" topic soon...so stay tuned.
  • My boy has been begging me for three days now to take his picture with his "friends!" So here it is.
I totally love that he is six years old and still loves his friends, I think?!?

  • Oh, and guess what I heard outside my bedroom window this morning? Birdies!....the very sweet sound of birds singing. It was a great way to wake up!

Happy Tuesday....Hope you all have a great day!

Just random stuff!

Sorry for the lack of reading material this week. With the weather being so nice it seems my computer time is getting less and less.

I do have some things coming...like pics of the kitchen table and chairs...a super cute video of Maxarooni singing Veggie Tales and more...so stayed tuned.

Oh, and if you haven't signed up for the swagbucks thing yet...you should, I earned $25 in amazon gift cards this week and I'm excited to have my Christmas "santa saver" started. Check it out...and let me know if you have questions...I'm still learning about it too! Click below and sign up today.

Somethings gotta give!

Does this sound familiar?

The funny part is that there are so many missing pieces of this day, I have to laugh, otherwise I would start to cry...and it's not a pretty sight...let me tell ya!

Ready.....

Get kids up, get them their juice, get a cup of coffee for me, get on Maggie to get going, make our bed, get on Maggie to make her bed, get the people some breakfast, make Maggie some lunch, make sure everything is ready for the little miss to go off to school.

Hop in the shower, remind Max to get dressed and to make his bed, for the third, maybe fourth time, get myself ready in record speed, do a few chores at home, like a load of laundry or vacuum, and as most of you know, I always do the morning dishes before I leave the house (or at least try my hardest!)

Check my email, log-in to Facebook, write a blog post (what's that you ask?! I know it's been hit the hardest). Then I'm off to the gym or to church or the store, just enough time to rush around before I have to be back to get Max some lunch before he's off to school for the day.

Drop Max off at 12:15, try to remember to have some "me" time...what's that?! Run to get this, stop to pick up that, I'm just going to run in....and before you know it, it's time for me to pick up the "big kids" in the carpool.

Pick up the "big kids" then drive to get Max, drop of the kids I can...bring the others home :) Get them a snack, help with homework, make a few phone calls, dinner? oh, right! Get dinner started, get the laundry that's still in the washer from this morning, back to dinner, eat a peaceful dinner with my family, clean up the dinner, then off to soccer, birthday party, church, wherever it may be that night.

Come home, get the kids in the tub, get clothes laid out for the next day, make sure everything is ready for school in the morning, get the people in bed, say prayers, and then take a deep breath.

Then the best time of the day. For me, it's a hot bath (or really really warm if you are my doctor) and "mom-only drink" and it's time to curl up with my book into my nice warm bed (got my heated mattress-pad out today).

Say a prayer and get ready to start it all over again tomorrow!

So that's why I'm so tired all the time...who knew!

Oh, and honestly, I'm not complaining one little bit, I wouldn't trade it for anything! Just need to vent every once in a while.

Honestly, I'm going to really try to get back to blogging, but for now, somethings gotta give!

We've been busy!

I'm not really sure what we've been doing, but we've been busy!

My last post (on Friday) was about me heading out of town on the first day of no school. We had a great time. The "Church Basement Ladies" is hysterical and I would recommend it to everyone. Young and old, we can all relate. It was a great day and I'm so glad I went.

Saturday morning, we woke up early to get ready to do a family bike ride in a neighboring town. This was the second year for us to do this ride, but the first year that both kids were able to ride the entire ride on their own bikes without training wheels. It's eight, yes I said 8, miles and I wasn't for sure Max would be able to make it that far...but he did awesome. There were some little hills along the way, but he did great. It was a Sullivan family event...Uncle Aaron, QP, Papa and Jane also came along. We all got a ribbon too! (which is just the coolest when you're a kid) Next year, Aunt Janelle and Sloany will be able to join us....maybe we have started another family tradition! (Aunt Jodi...we'd love to have you join us too!)

The rest of Saturday was busy too. Maggie and I left to bike ride to get her to a birthday party at Build-A-Bear Workshop for a little friend from kindergarten. She had a good time there, and I think Sam had fun too! Thanks again Sam for inviting Maggie to your party!

Sunday evening we were able to attend the "School's Out" "End of Summer" get-together with the youth from church. We went to a local "go-cart, mini-golf, rock-climbing" establishment and we had a BLAST! This group of kids is so great and I really think they had a ton of fun....I know I did! Here are a few of the pictures from Sunday night!
