So I have been preparing, and currently my living room looks like this!
As I have been going through things, there were some things that I wanted to sell, but didn't want "garage sale" prices for! So I listed those things on Craigslist. Never in a million years did I think I would sell the stuff so quickly! I was totally amazed. I guess I didn't realize that people checked Craigslist as often as they do. But it worked for me, and now I'm a little addicted!
The process is way easier than eBay. You can still post pictures of the item and then you don't have to worry one bit about the shipping. That is the part of eBay that I hate the most. With Craigslist, the people have to come and pick it up!
Andy keeps joking that about coming home to an empty house someday....he better be careful, or I might find some biking equipment to sell. **wink**
So what about you, have you sold or bought anything off Craigslist?

Traci,
Let me know when you're going to Craigslist Andy's biking stuff and I'll send my parents right over to pick it up for me! What are you thinking...$25 per bike?!?!
Take care,
Tim
I have had good luck buying furniture on craigslist. I love mid-century modern, so that's what I search for, and have found a few great pieces for good prices. There is actually a guy in Morton who specializes in vintage furniture, and I have bought several things from him. One of my favorites is our dining table... it's not bad looking, and it cost $20! (no chairs, just the table). It is great not to worry about the boys doing projects or getting a little crazy with the markers... someday when they're older we'll get something nicer. In the meantime, my $20 table can take all the wear and tear they throw at it.
Craigslist is great! We've bought from it and even sold our van on it.
We LOVE Craigslist! It is my husband's favorite site (besides YouTube, that is) - he spends hours on there. We recently picked up a free Gravedigger ride-on truck, and last week we sold our old washing machine. I agree - much better than Ebay - no shipping!
