Busy Busy....

Once again I've been bad at this blogging gig.  We've been busy, like everyone else and the time just gets away.  We've had the school carnival (thank goodness that's over!), we've been doing a few home improvement projects, and of course, the weather has just been so unseasonably warm, that we are spending a LOT of time outside.  It's no excuse, it is what it is!

However, I did get a few outside shots of the kids yesterday, along with our little friend Charlotte....thought I'd share.

Oh, and this fur ball had a birthday the other day....Charlie is 11 now!  What an old man!

Ray's Mountain Bike Park!

This past weekend we took a little day-trip to Milwaukee.  To Ray's!  Ray's is an indoor mountain bike park.  Andy was super excited, the kids too....me, not so much!  But I was blown away!  This place was a ton of fun, even for me, the pretty much non-rider.  I could have posted more videos, but this gives you an idea what this place offers!

Charlie's special friend...

My medicine gets delivered to my door by Todd, our friendly FedEx guy!

He *never* forgets Charlie!

It's the little things like this, that make me smile!

Happy Friday!

Celebrating 100 years....

with this very special lady!

The party was great!  Lots of people and even the Central Illinois Banjo Club (her favorite), and Max's favorite too!  But I think she was a little overwhelmed.  It was also pretty emotional for her!  We didn't stay super long, it's hard when you are seven and eight (even 38) to be in a room filled with *much* older people.  We told her we'd be back when we could have her all to ourselves.

100 years!

A very special friend of ours is turning 100 years old this week.  She was a neighbor to us in our first house and has held a very special place in our hearts ever since.  She grew up an only child and never married, so she thought of us as the family she never had.  She is having a birthday party on Thursday, so we are taking the kids out of school early in order to attend this very special event.  It's not everyday you get to attend the birthday party of someone turning 100.

Since she doesn't have any family, I wanted to see if some of my family and friends would do me a big favor.  Could you send her a card?  She doesn't have to know you, just sign your card stating you are a friend of the Sullivan's.  It doesn't have to be a 100th birthday card, or even a store bought card.  Handmade is just fine.

Her address is:
 Eleanor Flynn
(Samaritan Place)
6901 N Galena Rd
Peoria, IL 61614-3164

Her birthday is this coming Thursday, March 8th and I know receiving lots of notes will brighten her day and mine!

Thank you,
